How Clay and a Passion for Protecting the Earth Inspired this CATA Partner

It’s always exciting to find out how our partners began their organic apparel businesses, so when we read about Earth Creations story and how inspirational it is we could not wait to share it with our CATA Community. 

Founders Joy Maple and Martin Ledvina’s story on the evolution of Earth Creation is one full of magic on what appeared to be just another day. When Joy took her mountain bike off-road she ended up covered with Alabama red dirt. When Martin met Joy and her clay stained clothes years later it created a strong curiosity, and you can guess what happened next. Seventeen years later Earth Creations garments are still colored using natural clay dyes using the same process Martin originally developed using his chemistry background. Their brand has grown from their first “Alabama Dirt Shirt” to a full line of organic T-shirts dyed in a variety of colors for men, women and children.
